Write Across Queensland 2012

  • What is Write Across Queensland?

Write Across Queensland (WAQ) is a three-year touring initiative, touring writers to regional and remote areas of Queensland, and engaging communities in broad and diverse conversations about reading, writing, books and ideas. WAQ also delivers creative writing workshops to inspire and give voice to the thoughts and ideas of our remote communities.

The project aims to give regional and remote communities far greater access to the unique engagement that the Festival provides in Brisbane through similar events.

    The events include:

    • School and adult writing workshops
    • Book signings
    • Meet-the-writer sessions
    • Evening author events.

In 2012 Write Across Queensland will provide professional development opportunities for teachers, librarians, readers and writers looking for some extra inspiration and a chance to meet industry professionals.

Write Across Queensland is free for schools, libraries and community groups in Bundaberg, Rockhampton and Cairns.

    Cairns Region 12-15 September
