Dates for your diary: 4-6 September 2013

In 2012 Brisbane Writers Festival presented Word Play, a diverse and academically-engaging program for students in grades 4-12 featuring writer talks and panels, interactive sessions, workshops and online chats with students in remote and regional classrooms.

New opportunities were available for the first time in 2012, including a Writer-in-Residence program for students in grades 11 and 12 and a touring program designed to provide students and educators the opportunity to engage with international, national and local writers within their own school.

Word Play provided 13,500 places for students from across Queensland, capturing their hearts and imaginations and providing a curriculum-relevant experience with books and writing.
